O Christmas Tree

On Saturday we got our Christmas tree. In our family, this is a big deal. Since we've been married, we've only had two really nice trees. One year, we got our tree on Christmas Eve, and I'm not even joking. It was the worst tree in the world. It put the Charlie Brown tree to shame. You can ask my sisters.

We've slowly been getting better since then. This year's tree is gorgeous. Perfectly proportioned and everything!

We ended up decorating on Saturday night and since Bella is now two, we let her help. I've never done a fancy tree with perfectly matching ornaments. Someday I'd like to, but for now, this is a more kid-friendly way. Most of the ornaments are shatter-proof, and those that aren't went to the top of the tree out of reach.

I didn't get a lot of good close-ups of the ornaments since it was so dark, but you'll see plenty of them when I do my Christmas house tour!
