After a little bit of a vacation around here, I'm back! This past few weeks have just seemed a little too crazy around this house and blogging just took a backseat.
I'm sure all of you were wondering if our absence had to do with a baby.. and yes.. it did. BUT I'll leave it to Heidi to share her news. This newest little one is absolutely adorable though!
I have a little more news on my baby front as well. Beyond the fact that my front is now showing, after our last ultrasound, we were told that our newest baby is a ... dum, dum, dum, BOY!
I'm pretty sure Seth and I are still in shock after this one. We were definitely expecting it to be another little girl but are extremely happy about this newest little one. Bella had been telling me for months that it was a little boy, but once I confirmed it, she promptly told me she didn't want a brother. Isn't that always the way it is?
We also had Bella's birthday over the weekend. My oldest is now 3 years old and that's crazy to me. She definitely acts like an independent kid though. Definitely not a baby anymore.
We were going to have a big party for her but we all ended up having the flu and so those plans to a backseat to everything else.
So now that you're all caught up on life around here, how about you? Anything new and exciting? Or maybe just ordinary? We haven't heard from you all in a while!
P.S. I'm going to try to finish a project for the Pinterest Challenge - Winter Edition. Remember when Heidi did the Book Page Wreath? I'll be posting back next week so check it out! Wish me luck!

{Pinterest Challenge} Book Wreath
Last Friday, I told you that I was going to join the Pinterest Challenge that four lovely bloggers were putting out to anyone who wanted to be involved.
41 weeks ago (don't you love how Pinterest keeps track of when you have pinned something...*insert sarcasm here*), I saw this picture from the Nester:
It has seriously been in my mind for a while to put over our fireplace and this was the opportunity. I wish I had made it sooner, because I love it.
It was really easy to make.
Take apart an old book. I have a nice little stock pile of books that are past the interest of reading and are perfect for crafts like this one.
Plug in your hot glue gun and get ready to start rolling the pages into cones.
I used an old grapevine wreath because that is what I had on hand, but I would suggest using a wreath that has a smoother surface. I have seen some made with straw wreaths or even pool noodles. The grapevine wreath made things hard to be consistent with the cones, but I did what I could.
Once you have your first layer of cones glued onto your wreath form, flip it over and keep on gluing in layers.

If you choose to add a small mirror, glue it to the middle with a strong glue. I actually chose carpenter's glue. It worked really well and I don't have to worry about it falling off in the middle of the night!
I love that it is something different from our normal mirror.
So did you end up making something for this fall Pinterest challenge? If you use Pinterest, what is your ratio of pinning / doing?

A {Pinterest} Challenge
I've put a challenge out to myself.
You might be saying that's a silly challenge because isn't our blog called, "It's our Pinteresting Life"?? Isn't this the point of your blog already?
Yup. You're right. It is. But I haven't been doing much crafting lately. Besides the fact of having a very b.u.s.y. one and half year old boy, working outside of the home, working inside of our home, plus all the other day-to-day things that come with life, pulling out a glue stick and a paintbrush isn't really on my top list of things to do.
So I decided that I would get busy and start and finish (key word there being 'finish') a crafty project that I have had my eye on from Pinterest.
If you are like me and like 'pinning' but haven't been very good at the 'doing' part, why don't you join me and these lovely (and famous) bloggers and whip up a chalkboard, paint a picture, or knit a tea cozy?
Meet back here on Tuesday, October 30 to see what I will have been spending time crafting this weekend and then link your project to one of (or all four) of these ladies' blogs.
