Pomegranate Apple Cider

I thought I'd share a quick recipe with you today. I love warm drinks.. have you tried the pumpkin spice lattes that Heidi posted about a few weeks past? They. are. amazing.

But sometimes I don't want coffee (I know, crazy right?!) but I just want something warm and quick. I tried this recipe for one of our family dinners a while back. I don't even remember where I found it but it's so easy that it's always in the back of my mind. All you need is two ingredients - three if you're feeling extra fancy that day!


Grab a nice big bottle of apple cider, a bottle of 100 % pomegranate juice, and a few cinnamon sticks. Throw them all in the crock pot on the lowest setting if you have time. Wait for it to warm up and enjoy! Or if you're like me and just want it for one, fill up a mug almost to the brim with apple cider and then add about 2 tbsp of pomegranate juice. Stick a cinnamon stick in the mug. Microwave on high for about 2 mins or until it's warm enough for you. Take out the cinnamon stick and enjoy! Trust me, it's extremely yummy. And healthy!


I always feel like I need to cuddle under an afghan with a good book whenever I have this drink. In this fantasy, my girls are napping, the house is clean and I have nothing on my to-do list. Wouldn't that be wonderful?!

  1. Ummmmmm, this sounds great! Reminds me off my hot spiced tea, just with diff ingredients, Hahaha!! I will link to this when I post my tea!
